My FIT A/C was down since last Sunday. It was a intermittent problem. The cool air suddenly stop..After reading so many postings on different forums which having the same problem as me. Most people got their aircond fixed by paying few hundreds dollars. I had prepared to pay such damage as well.
Luckily, my friend recommend me a A/C mechanic in Eunos (near Singpost). During the inspection, he manage to knows which part goes wrong within mis time. He just open up a small blackbox and there are few relay inside the box. He push one of the relay and suprisingly the cool air back again.
Eventually, just replace with a new relay and the A/C works perfectly. Total damage 25 dollars. I am not sure how much a relay cost, but i would say this is definitely cheaper than those so called specialist who quoted few hundred bucks.
The mechanic is friendly and behave honest (at least to me). You may just give him a call. His name Ah Kai 97262813.
This may not be your choice if you are expecting a posh customer waiting room in the workshop.
