drive thru a metal rod... and heard a loud sound

hi i drove pass a metal rod, and heard a loud sound hitting against my undercarriage before it flys off out from the back of my car...

would like to seek advice from any bros here,
is carriage built to take damage from item like metal rod, big stone, or metal stuff ?? will it damage my engine or any important conponent ?? pls advice thanks

it depends some cars are well covered. engine wise shld be ok usually protected. but it's best to jack up n see cos i kena woodsticks, it damaged my protection covers below in the front

Yup did a jerk up at autobacs for checking ... Thanks god no damage just a minor scratch on e exhaust pipe... Next time will be extremely careful be it a metal rod or a wooden stick even stone larger than an average stone sadly learn it the hard way
