Servcing FR: quick, no hassle and very reasonable prices!!
Had some free time this afternoon and just noticed it's time to change engine oil and transmission fluid. So I called around and as expected, it's tough to find a free slot without a booking.
Decided to swing by Ubi area to check it out anyway = 1st stop was HAT at Eastpoint Terrace but they were too packed with cars. Then I remember this thread about SKM which was just down the road so no harm trying.
Got there and SKM was also filled with cars, but Ah Heng squeezed me in. From online comments and the type of cars there, the mechs are obviously very familiar with the CL7 and K20A so servicing was done smoothly.
The price was very decent as it's just for labour since I bring my own filter and oils = I had to double-check that I was hearing the right price because I have been hit with larger sums for the same work done at other garages. The location is great too -- as it is the saner side of Ubi, traffic-wise.
So for a cost-conscious ah pek like me (cannot use old fart since that term was history here) SKM is now the preferred place to do servicing.

Eh, for small servicing... Dun need to trouble Ah Heng la. When you go to his place, you can see that he is really, really busy. So many cars there, some are there for big jobs and are there for a long time.
Changing of light bulbs / oil change, etc, almost any other workshop can do it easily (as good). Prolly just will charge u la. But for these small jobs, how much more expensive can it get? 5 dollars?
For more specific problems, ya, Ah heng is the man.
I'm saying this because... I WANNA CUT QUEUE... hahaha... But srsly, dun need to go all the way down to trouble him (esp when he is not charging).
Upz for Ah Heng too.
