HELP!! Loud metal scratching sound from honda fit

Post by Looz » Mon Aug 08, 2011 4:32 pm

the scratching sound is very loud when braking.. very loud irritating metal scratching sound which seems to come from my right hand side..

its like on .. off.., whenever i brake hard, there is no sound but when i brake softly, the sounds came. (metal scratching sound)

I just change the brake pads 2 to 3 weeks ago and rotor a few months and still the same happened. Went to alot of mechanics, still the same.

Can you guys advise me?

it might be your caliper need some servicing, or your brake pad is those racing kinds, which have screeching sound, or it might be the metal shim which is bent due to stone hitting them thus creating the screeching sound, even replacing the brake pads wont help. think need to bend the metal shim back, my jazz last time does it also esp the front
