I used to observe 27+ km/l on highway. But after servicing, it's down to just over 17(!). I believe it's probably ard 22-24 before the service. It seems that fc at low speed may not have changed.
Things done:
-engine flush
-change eo/filter (previous 5w40 to 5w30)
-change cvt oil (to HMMF)
-replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, front disk pads (all oem stock)
-cleaned/inspect tb, air filter (drop-in K&N), fuel injectors(?), cat(?)
-adjust idle/fast idle speed(?)
-and other things usually done at 10k
Any idea for the reduced mileage? I'd say driving style and load conditions are out of the question. Is it something the shop messed up or just a temporary change in car behavior that will normalize over time?
One more thing new, or at least has changed, is that when going up a long, "low gradient" slope, there's a boost in rpm (VTEC?!) midway from just over 2000rpm to at least 2750.
I've read about dirty MAF sensor, sticky brakes, clogged cat, mis-adjusted throttle, etc. I guess it's now running richer, but is there a simple diy way to confirm/adjust this? How about the overdrive thingy?
Pls keep those ideas, experiences, or advices coming!
