Re: Modding for pickup
==> get the low end tuned... if unichip cannot tune low end, change to GReddy E-manage Ultimate...kira wrote:hi guys

Try fitting back your cat and see how it goes....your described engine setup isn't heavily modified in any way, mostly bolt-on parts, so you may not be pushing anywhere near the amount of power to actually benefit from running cat-less (or a test-pipe). Have you tried your hi-rev hi-RPM performance as compared to before this latest mod? If that is suffering as well then you may be running an overall piping size that is not really that suitable for your ride.
If you really prefer to run without a cat, try going for those hi-flow models from reputable brands. Either catless or hi-flow aftermarket cat will still fail inspection so it doesn't matter, but running catless the resultant exhaust smell is a dead giveaway for any experienced ROV officer.
If you don't wanna do any changes to your current setup, you can try fitting on an aftermarket ECU and have it tuned to "compensate" for this loss, although this isn't really the best way to go about it. Should fix the problem at the source, and not by adding things in haha!
