If you can still find RE55S, try them. They have already stopped production of the RE55S so it won't be easy finding them. The local SG pricing for the RE55S makes it a very popular choice since they have been priced lower than Yokohama Advans. In Japan, it's the opposite where Bridgestone costs aboout 20% more. The 'new' RE11S, which takes over RE55S, will only be in Singapore late this year or next year. Currently most ppl here are limited to just A050, Pilot Sport Cup and R888. Federal will have semislicks rolling into town a couple mths later, FZ-201/FZ-202. Those might be interesting to test out for seasoned track drivers imo. Hankook has a semislick model, Z214, but that won't be suitable to drive up/down NSH. Nitto NT01 is not bad for those who want semislicks that can last a bit longer. Choosing the compound type is also important in getting semislicks.
If u r new to track, I suggest u try out a high performance street tire first, such as the AD08, RE11, RS-3, R1R etc. There are limited choices for semislicks in Singapore, which is a pity. No Kumho V70A, No Dunlop DZ03G, which are very good semislicks as well.
I've personally used RE540S, RE55S, A048, A032, V70A, DZ01J, DZ02G, DZ03G before and my fav 2 r RE55S and V70A amongst the ones I've used before. Haven't been on track actively in the last 10mths but the new generation of semislicks have been said to improve both in grip and heat management, the A050 and RE11S generally look to be the favs at this moment in the semislick department.

Yoz bro...how have u been? Still been going down to Sepang much lately? The only session I did this year was a night track session in April, and that was mainly to orientate some new trackies who r customers from Uber and to try out the track at night. I really need to get back out on the track manz.
