SRS Warning light : Remained ON

Post by Str2 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 9:25 am

Hi Guys,
Today while driving ('06 Stream), I noticed my SRS Warning remained lighted (red).
I stopped and restarted the car, the light remain ON.

Owner's Manual mentioned it means Air-bag or Belt tensioner may not work if remains lighted and to bring car to agent to check.
I checked the fuse for the SRS System and it's OK.

So b4 I send car to KM, any one will similiar experience and solution?
Other than KM, any other workshop can help trouble-shoot?

Thks-In-Advance.

trace the shops de car visited. Airbag sensors, wires are extremely sensitive. Even kinked wires may give errors.

Nothing was done to the car past few mths. The light just came on.
That is the curious part,
I removed the ECU fuse and fit back after 5 mins, light still there.

Afraid warranty no longer valid cos its a 2006 Honda Stream.
Must be a faulty sensor of some sort.

Fm my search, some forumers went to Auto Dynamic to plug in for a reset.
Look like this will be course of action.
