Whining sound from transmission when decelerate?

Post by dstubked » Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:40 am

hi bros..i just got hold of a second hand cl7r recently and it felt really great driving one!

however..recently i discovered some transmission whining sound when i decelerate (clutch engaged..not stepping on accelerator). The sound goes off when i go to neutral gear while driving..the problem is, it gets rather intermittent. i will hear the sound while driving to point A..turn off engine for an hr or 2..start engine..move off again and no sound.

Any advices for me?

thanks!

how old is your gearbox and whats yr mileage? the bearings may be worn liao inside...try changing your tranny oil and see if it helps if not u'll have to take it apart and see whats wrong inside...
