Heavy steering on FD

Hi guys, is it normal for the 06 FD to have heavier steering?

Use to be driving a Kia and feel the steering to be much lighter.

Which FD are you driving?
Wass ur Kia on electric steering previously?

did u have the correct air pressure. maybe tire not enough air.

whats the mileage on ur fd ? maybe need change power steeering fluid .

Maybe your steering rack leak or power steering pump not working.So better get it check .

FD tends to have heavier steering.

Yes... I do second that... Compare to my old Jazz, FD's steering is heavier..

Thanks bros for all the feedback, my old kia is also on nomral power steering not on electronic one and tyre pressure also ok. but my mileage a bit high around 64k. not sure whether the previous owner change the power steering fluid or not? what brand is good that your recommended?

FD1 use hydraulic power steering, FD2 use Electric Power Assist (EPS), before troubleshoot make sure what kind of streering assist belong!

mine should be on FD1. its 06 civic 1.8.

have not got to time to axction on it yet. think will check on it this sat

Ah, FD1 is hydraulic....so it's definately harder than electronic ones...
Actually, i wished teh FD2 is not electronic...hardly any "road feel"...even the CTR is hydraulic, not electronic..
