But i heard the lower RON will casue your engine to be more dirty? beside the acceratation will be lower. True?

this is due to the petrol filtration level .. my interpretation of RON 92 is 92% filtration ....RON 95 equates 95% filtration etc ...

hence the lower the RON, the lower the filtration level, more deposits are rested in your combustion chambers ....

if you're not concern with budget/company pay for your petrol ... RON 95~98 is good enuff

in the event u travel up to Msia ... u can also get it there

but yes it's true that if you mix petrol of a higher octane rating, the octane inside your car is pure maths lah. 50% 92 and 50% 98 gives you 95.

Gasoiline, is basically blends of hundreds of compounds in the C5 to C12 carbon-chain range. There are people out there saying that it can't mix, that's the same as saying you can't mix 2 different bottles of mineral bottle water, complete bull. Those compounds typically include Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl-benzene, Xylene, Pentane, Heptane..... and on and on along with each company's own additives. n-Heptane has the worst anti-knock index of 0, and iso-octane has the best anti-knock index of 100. This means that if you add pure heptane to your car, your car will knock like nobodies' business. It's way too unstable. In terms of combustion, pure iso-butane is the best. But this is not taking into considerations other of chemical properties of other compounds that not necessarily raise the octane number, but value-add to the fuel in terms of desirable chemical properties.

Mix all those carbon compounds together and you'll get an overall anti-knock index.

Just to point out that iso-octance does not have the best index. Its just given a value of 100. Ethanol has higher rating of 116.
