Help.... Plz advise about engine oil. Thanks first

Hi all,

I have a problem that my dad going to change engine oil but the car is very old model (mercedes benz E230 1993 i think). So anybody know what type of the engine oil (oil model in detail) should i use for it?

dun use any synthetic oil as long as the engine gasket has not been changed recently.

stick to mineral oil as they do not hv this cleaning detergent properties that will cause old gasket to leak.

pls do not perform any engine flushing also.

I guess the Car Technical Manual will recommend what engine oil to be used.

If you are not so sure with the spec you could try here to find out what Engine Oil spec is suitable for your car.

As for brand I would prefer to use Havoline Engine Oil personally.
