Hi Guys,
I would need some advice on the coilover, suspension, spring...etc..
Wanna lower our ride if just change the spring is it the cheapest way? Will it affect the suspension or other problems will surface as time goes?
Which type of coilover are recommended for CL7? Is it safe to buy 2nd hand?
What are the things to lookout when wanna lower the ride?
Thanks in advance!

No good to use lowering springs. in the long run, it will wear out drive axles. Can't remember if i remember the correct thing but I'm sure something will wear out as the lowered spring is not suitable for the stock damper.
Type of coilover depends largely on what kinda driving style you have. Personally not advisable to get a 2nd hand unless you know the person's style of driving whether he uses it hard.
Lower ride will have to put camber kit to correct the camber angle else tyre wear will be very high.
I apologize if i use the wrong terms.
Good site to go to will be
www.carbibles.com
Hope this helps...

Even if I change the branded spring (like Teins) will still have problems of damaging the axles?
Re: coilover, suspension, spring..etc???
Gotta understand here that it's not the brand that matters but the compatibility, ie the spring rate that is matched to the absorberYaloryalor wrote:Thank you for your advice and the link!

If I ask the shop, does the mechanic know which spring rate to match my ride (CL7A)?
I wanna lower my ride but dun wan to spend too much (more than 1K). If I may just want to drive for another 2~3 years only.
Re: coilover, suspension, spring..etc???
possible. Bet bet would be to ask those bros in the forum who have changed it before or go to those shops where they regularly service our rides.Yaloryalor wrote:ok..lfwd15 wrote:Gotta understand here that it's not the brand that matters but the compatibility, ie the spring rate that is matched to the absorberYaloryalor wrote:Thank you for your advice and the link!

Taking this opportunity wanna ask any bros driving the CL7 that has lowered their ride? Coilover or spring?
Please share your experience..
