Calling all G8 Accord 2.0 (Auto), CP1, [from 2008 onwards] owners/drivers!!
Please monitor your caFC for at least 5 successive refills.
When you are ready, please poll your honest calculated figure ........ and not highest km/l achieved at a particular refill nor any reading from any computerised display on dashboard. Don't be concerned what figures others poll as your driving style, City/Expressway%, traffic conditions, loads, etc. may be very different from theirs.
For those not familiar, caFC is calculated from total km travelled by total volume of petrol from those refills. For accuracy, the point to start refill (say, 1/4 tank) and stop (say, auto-stop of nozzle) for the first and last refills of the series should be the same. Best to use odometer readings rather than tripmeter as the latter can be accidentally reset.
Incidentally if there are long trips especially along NS Highway, those mileage and refills should be excluded.
For those with significant mods like changes in tyre/rim size, engine mods, engine oil and heavy body kits, etc, please also post in the thread, your caFC and short description of the mods.
Hope you would contribute to make the number of polls high and that the result will be useful to all, including prospective buyers.
******************************
Here is an example of caFC monitoring adapted from actual figures for a different model of car. The first refill was to top-up tank to full.
Date.../odo.../distance/.litre./.km/l
18 Mar/10069/........../56.28/........
29 Mar/10666/597……./51.04/11.69
9 Apr../11293/627……./52.33/11.99
26 Apr/11891/598……./51.19/11.68
11 May/.…?.../….?....../51.85}avg for these two
21 May/13004/1113…./53.47}refills = 10.57
The cumulative average fuel consumption for these five refills = (597+627+598+1113) divided by (51.04+52.33+51.19+51.85+53.47) = 11.29km/l.
As long as you keep the receipt which records the number of litres each time you pump, even if you miss writing down the odometer reading on one occasion, you can still calculate FC and the cumulative average figure for the series. The total distance travelled for the 11 & 21 May refills equal 13004 - 11891 = 1113 km using 51.85 + 53.47 litres. So the km/l = 10.57 for these two refills.
What is important is to use odometer reading (which cannot be reset) and not depend on tripmeter which may be accidentally reset which will make monitoring inaccurate.

G8 Accord 2.0 (CP1) Cumulative Average Fuel Consumption
Please keep the polls coming in!
Those who have just started monitoring, please be patient. Please poll only when you have caFC figure calculated from at least 5 successive refills.
It is advisable to begin monitoring after run-in period, preferably after clocking 5K or 10K km, when the FC figures are more stabilised.
I am sure existing as well as prospective owners will find the poll results useful.

For those having variants of Accord, Airwave, City, Civic, Crossroad, CR-V, Fit, Jazz or Stream, please find the appropriate poll thread for your car by searching with keyword “cafcâ€

may i suggest you grp CP FC calculation together?? i understand this is a poll...
Thanks for you response.
I am not sure what you mean by grouping them; care to explain?
I have started separate polls for 2.0 and 2.4 CP Accords, as I expect there would be noticeable difference in caFC data if there are about 25 honestly monitored & calculated polls for each.
This can be seen from the results of the caFCs of the many variants of FD Civic.

by suggesting grouping them together meaning to group them into one thread under CP Accord but i am not sure if SHC allow 2 polls in 1 thread.
you may need to start another poll for the CP3 (3.5L) as there's 1 bro driving it.
there will be noticeable difference between difference engines' capacity but it is also true how each driver drives. i.e. how heavy is our right foot.
for one full tank on my CP1, i can achieve 650km. this has been rather constant total mileage per full tank i can achieve thus far. if i'm lighter on my right foot, i believe this mileage will be greater. then again, this is my record.

I agreed, how your driving style affects greatly the FC. If u go easy on the pedal most of the time, u get >600kms. Else it can be <600kms.hhong wrote:bro,Peregrine wrote:Bro,hhong wrote:bro,

If you drive on S mode, it will be even lower.
If the objective is to give some guides, then it's not necessary to be very accurate n use 5 calculations. Besides that CPs do not come with the computer chips like Camry n calculate everything by the push of a button! It's rather disappointing....
Anyway, the above is my contribution.
Cheers.
yup, rather disappointing to have that minus out and that is among other things.weaver87 wrote:I agreed, how your driving style affects greatly the FC. If u go easy on the pedal most of the time, u get >600kms. Else it can be <600kms.hhong wrote:bro,Peregrine wrote: Bro,

i have asked KAH product manager on the passenger manual adjustment (up n down) quote to be sent to me. still waiting for it.
this is because CP1 do not come with passenger manual or electrical adjustment.
i'm wondering what else should be in the car but we're (CP1 owners) not getting it.
CP owners care to comment?
