Dipstick popped up!!
Hey guys, after my final stint on the track on Sat, opened my bonnet and discovered that my dipstick had popped up!! Luckily no oil had spilled (didn't see any oil residue in the engine bay) but how the hell can this happen? I checked it before I went out on track and it was properly in place, but 4-5 laps later it popped out!
Any way to prevent this from happening again? Any high heat resistant tape that we can use to tape it down perhaps? Oil filter is locked in place with an oil filter stopper, but if the oil filler cap and/or the dipstick come loose that could be catastrophic..

hi TK, i have that prob too, i`ve claimed warranty rgd the dipstick popping up, i`ve found out it pops out when the cam change over, cos of the positive crankcase pressure inside the block, s2ki have a thread documenting it, and the remedy is to turn the dipstick 180 degs and put it in, till now no problem with it popping out
