WTH? My S2000 Lost to a Toyota Corona CD?!

Today at around 8.00pm i was cruising with s2k around changi airport runway straight road after SAF ferry terminal, suddenly i heard a fucking loud exhaust sound + BOV sound PSSH upon transmission behind me... i looked at the mirrors to verify what car it was but its lights we're too bright, then it flickered its lights on me then started tailgating me then the when the car went to my side (right) this malay guy said "eh we race ah 500m?" looking at his car i confidently feel i can trash him with a snap of my fingers, then i told him "2nd gear 50km/h 3 horns start" then he rev his engine at high rpm and freaking boost way ahead of me ! i was like WTF?! WE WAS AHEAD OF ME 200M IN LIKE 4SEC? WTF? I COULDN'T EVEN CATCH HIM! WTH?

HERE IS HIS CAR INFO IF U THINK YOU CAN BEAT HIM! FREAKING STOCK LOOKING CAR NEVER EXPACT TO BE EVEN AS GOOD AT VIOS...

I know i have no face for a S2k to lose with a toyota cd, but i don't understand why? i bring such shame to Honda =(

bro , no matter .. although the S2k has 200 ponies does not meant it can outrun a turbo .. NA is no match for turbo ..... ( general statement )

most likely tht Toyota is a sleeper .. u sae it has BOV u should know it has a turbo ..

why still sprint with him ?

if its a turbo-ed one u better have some long straight to pull with him from a launch. i played with a getz turbo on my totally stock car (including cat but with j's cat back exhaust) and barely won. my friend told me the getz had a high boost 1.6 engine. so beware!

Hmm.. correct me if I'm wrong... S2K normally suffer at low end torque.. vs any turbo modified car even if it is a cherry or geelee will also lose out in a 500m race correct?

Don't feel bad la... buja is right, the guy probably is a sleeper... i've seen a Sg car in JB before, just a Vios but he was adding on a turbo secretly so that he can play with other people for fun

I am curious.

If instead of doing a rolling start at 50kph on 2nd gear, you *might* be able to lead during the initial launch from standstill by taking advantage of the turbo lag?

Possible?

8 pm at Coastal Road? You must've seen a ghost, that place is "dirty". 200m in 4 sec, no car or bike in this part of the world can do that.

200 m in 4 sec is an avg speed of 50m/sec or an avg speed >180kmh

this means he would have rolled from 50kmh, averaged 180 kmh at the 100m and had a terminal velocity of 310kmh at the 200m mark...not forgetting he managed to out accelerate an s2k so we can add another 50kmh advantage for an awesome terminal velocity of 360kmh.

thats some fucking fast corona....

not uncommon.. we have vios, corollas, swifts, 323.. you name it we have it here...
nothing beats the aura of driving a $120k marque with 9000rpm high revving engine.. can they? Do they have it?

I've played in Malaysia with a Proton Turbo and won, also a perdana V6 turbo i still won... so it leaves me like wtf?! with this corona who owned my s2k...=(
