Different between 9887 and P80?
Different between 9887 and P80?
I new to tis web.Anyway, what is the different between Alphine 9887 & pioneer P80.Beside the different of ipod full speed mode?Any more difference? And where to get the best deal of this two HU(include installation)And what is the current price of this two HU?Anyway, currently i having a 2 channel amp to run my passive 2 component speaker & tweeter and a class mono amp to run my sub,but my HU is stock dvd player,so if i fix on either 9887 or P80 will it make my audio sounds much better or just a bit nicer only? Thanks for the reply..
Thanks for the reply.i currently using Lilliput DVD HU,actually the sound is not bad,but if i turn on to loud volume, the sound is not that idea. Then due to my HU cannot tune anything, den my sub bass is heavy on my rear cos the installer connect it 2gether with my rear speaker. But of cos on the front driver side is fine.

From my experience, HU is very important. Stock HU to me is mono music.adrthammc wrote:I new to tis web.Anyway, what is the different between Alphine 9887 & pioneer P80.Beside the different of ipod full speed mode?Any more difference? And where to get the best deal of this two HU(include installation)And what is the current price of this two HU?Anyway, currently i having a 2 channel amp to run my passive 2 component speaker & tweeter and a class mono amp to run my sub,but my HU is stock dvd player,so if i fix on either 9887 or P80 will it make my audio sounds much better or just a bit nicer only? Thanks for the reply..
Pioneer P80 is good as it can do active setup and have the time alignment thing where you can experience the virtual front stage effect. Stock Hu can't do it.

bro, P80 is not an idea HU to run passive as the SQ of the sound as a pure deck is not as good as the alpine's... However if the P80 is used to run active, and the full 15-band EQ is being utilised and tune properly (by good tuner), it's a hell lots of difference... one sky one ground man...adrthammc wrote:Thanks 4 the reply ken.yap,i hv fix P80 2 weeks ago.sounds nice although i still running a passive setup.maybe next time will fix a active setup.Cheers.

Hence I do urge u to convert to active and get a good tuner to do the job soon in order to fully utilise the full potential n capability of your HU. My 2cents.
