FD2 Can Swap with FD2R Engine and Gearbox?

Hi bros,

My friend had a FD2 manual for a few years already and now was thinking to swap to FD2R K20A engine and 6 speed gear box. Can it be done? If yes, what is the price?

K24 is a better option :twisted: price 5k plus nia...

5k plus can get K24 block with after market internals w/o head.

full engine shd b more then that.

Friend hv a k24 previously running about 300hp which is taken out from
FD2 for sales... :lol:

Sorry reply late, just came back from overseas.
Can the gear box stand the k24 engine or it must change as well to type r 6 speed?

Once my friend modded his car n let me test drive, and if its good I may buy fd2 already... lol

perhaps the more impt qns is the engine swap stable? ecu.tuning costs, etc etc.

Also which workshop has done it before with gd reputation etc.

Some workshops can claim that they have done it before etc all they wan, but when it comes to after sales service and troubleshooting may not be so good.

stock five speed can 100% cope with the power of k20a and its a direct fitment as long as its k engine. problem is 3rd gear too far from 2nd gear so when redline 2nd at 8500 rpm u will fall out of vtec if vtec engagement is not brought down to at least 5300 rpm (assuming stock engagement point of 5700 rpm). To solve this u need flashpro or any device tat can bring down vtec point.

half cut of fd2r roughly 10k plus sgd.

fd2r stock full exhaust system (extractor to muffer) 700 and above.

swap service 1.5k and above.

set aside 15k because Confirm have some unforeseen things need to be added.

K24 engine is from which car? But if swap then inspection how?
