I was also looking for miniatures when I just got my car.
Places which i found them.
1. Toys R us (Toy cars department)
2. BHG Departments Stores (Toy cars area)
They come in little boxes usually displayed in a cabinet.
I forgot the brand/company of the Toy, could be either Maisto or Tomica aka TOMY.
Alternatively, you can order online from overseas, if you know your preferred car model scale size. Eg, 1 : 32 or 1 : 60.
I ended up not buying in the end though. Hope it helps.
