I remember there is this stretch of road near jlan bahar where its a long straight and wide stretch where it doubles as a fighter plane landing strip.

Hey, hmm imho civic fd2 =) Cus few of my friends had both the cars and they actually somehow tried against each other's make. Well, got to say the lancer has a nice low rumble over the civic, but the fd2 won anyway in straight. Say about 2 car length away, both auto. The lancer however transmission noisy, fd2 smooth silent. Hmmm shd try corners soon haha..

hmmm...surprise to see that the Lancer got more torque...heavier is one thing...power loss from engine to wheel is another.

IMO...civic is still the car for me over the lancer between these two.

The problem is this week is a busy week for them. Even reservist tp's are working this whole weekend and next weekend there will be leftover reservist tp's on duty for a good operation island wide. Can expect the whole week after f1 OG will be filled with them scooting ard hahahahaha

Thus this weekend is the best timing.. any timing after this week we need spotters leh ;).
DON forget the TP - SS...SPECIAL SQUAD...Not bound by events!! Take care 8)

Lancer GT price are getting very close to the Civic 2.0 now. But then again, with the specs on the civic, should be comparing with the lancer 2.0.

I test drove both cars at least twice.... I still prefer FD2 for its performance though I prefer the price and look for the lancer....

the performance of Lancer is so clumpsy until I need to test drive twice to confirm that I am actually driving a 2.0 instead of 1.5 model  ..... I suspect is their CVT gearbox... eeee78 was in one of my test drive...

FD is still nice looking... but not adventurous lor.. :?

Ok found this clip, most probably taken in msia. civic fitted w sprint boaster vs stock GT
Quite skeptical this clip...after all, they're promoting the sprint booster..
Wish they'd actually swapped the sprint booster around and retested it :) see if the lancer win
But u see arh, if they fitted the sprint boaster in the civic and shows it winning convincing, does that means that stock vs stock, GT will tapao the Si? :?
Not really, besides the power to weight ratio in between both cars, there is another factor for the reason why civic have the faster acceleration from 0-100km/hrs; 5speed auto close ratio gear box VS CVT (really not goood for drug racing) 8)
