As a ex-malaysian and current singaporean....
I believe i could speak my standard procedure on this issue.

When i was a malaysian.... Standard procedure:
When stop by TP, summon summon loh... i just pay, thats it.
Want kopi money? You wait long long, no way i am giving you a dime.
What? Can settle ah? How ah? Pay you money ah?
Eh! Thats rasuah leh (bribe).... You want me complaint you ah?
What's your number? I write down.

Now as a Singaporean.... Standard procedure:
When stop by TP, what mistake i did?
Got photo? If got, you summon.
If not, don't waste my time,
You want what? Settle? How? Money? I don't have...
Still a lot of car behind... Go to them lah......
I don't have what you want.....

Be frank and be blunt....
I don't see malaysia TP or Police as law-enforcer..
They are just people who take bribe without dignity.
Ever hear they even take RM$2!!!! lalala
But i do respect their JPJ (LTA), which summon means real summon.
No bullshit at all.....

i get what u mean about JPJ... plus...JPJ usually are very nice people...if they can let u go..they will...TP...even if u didnt do nothing wrong..they will find fault...and..my fren tot me this...if the police wanna summon u for exhaust...or tinted glass...just say "tadi baru lepas road block JPJ lepas je..kenape tak lepas pulak" for my non malay speacking frens... "just now i just when thru a JPJ road block..they didnt summon me..."

I know this guy who has 40+ summons (mostly speeding N-S Hway) in Malaysia and didnt pay a cent to them.

He is still driving in and out of JB weekly - same car.

Want to know how he did it??

He figure it's cheaper to bid a new number plate from LTA then to pay the fines...so now, same car different number plate.
