LSD for EG/EK

Post by MCDS » Fri Jul 11, 2014 8:52 am

Hi bros

Can any bros in here share about installing an LSD on the EG/EK?

What is recommended? Any detail to look out for?
What is the ballpark price of LSD + Installation
Who does it most reliably?

If info is sensitive, please PM me.

Thank you all very much in advance.

most simple is just get a ek9 gearbox and bolt on. it has a helical LSD.

Thanks for the replies bros!

So a standard EK9 gearbox is good for the NSHW then? 3.1k rpm at 100kmh...

It is just standard. cannot say good or bad depend on what you r comparing with. the rpm should be higher a bit on the original wheel profile.

If youre not a hardcore trackie, get the EK9 or DC2R LSD. Unless you Love the Juddering and Clunking of the drivetrain when you make turns or go up MSCP carpark ramps.

Thanks bros!

Most interesting...

Will consider the options... I prefer a 4.4 on 5th gear... but will try the EK9/DC2 on the circuits... maybe have both bolt up and down hahaha... my circuit days are not so regular... don't want to burn unnecessary fuel during daily commutes and holiday drives up to Penang or Hatyai...

thinking of one maybe next May or June...
