Child seat into EK Hatch?

Sorry please don't laugh... but I would like to ask if any EK hatch owner has tried putting a child seat the correct way into his/her car PLUS a passenger in the rear seat?

It's not that important, but you can scroll down for the background to this question if you want to know.

Thanks for any pointers/opinions!

PS. For my '91 CRX, the child seat has to go in sideways, leaving room for only a very small sized passenger.

I'm moving to the US in Sep and am planning to wait for a good deal on a VW Jetta Sportwagen as a family car. In the meantime, I was going to buy an EK hatch to 'tide over' for hopefully max 3-4months. After buying the family car, this would then become my project car (for B18C or K20A swap).

The thing is, for those 3-4months we would regularly have 3 adults plus my child in the car, so it can't be too uncomfortable (as it is in my CRX). So I need to know whether having 3 adults plus child seat in an EK hatch is bearable for that short period. If not, I would have to buy an EK sedan instead.

i can only say the crx rear seats are not even able to sit one adult! i had to sit sideways across 2 seats to fit!

i have seen eg6 with a childseat put properly and an adult can sit comfortably and properly in the rear seat, ek hatch shld be no problem at all.

last time my ek4 hatch can put baby seat plus 2 adults at the back.. its just tat going in and out of the car for the rear pax abit of a hassle.. and putting the kid in the seat too..

Thanks, that's reassuring =) After surviving putting a child into a child seat in my CRX, I think EK hatch should be no problem haha.

No worries, I have a child seat in my daily driven ek hatch as well, not a problem at all
