CM <-> RB1
Hi mayotedy,
Do note higher rpm will translate into higher fuel consumption.
hey just read that you used to drive a RB1! We are on the opposite swop! Last year I traded my '03 CM5 for a '07 RB1 due to need of space. How about you?

I am a newbie here. Just bought a CM4 (2006). I discovered that the car vibrates when idling (especially stopping at traffic lights) and when i turn steering wheel (especially when I move off in the morning), there is a loud noise.
Appreciate if any kind bros can advise on these problems as i am getting the dealer to rectify them
anyway, their service bill is not that way expensive compare to others WS

Dear Bros & Sistas,
It has been a fun and exciting 8 looooong years of owning a superbly built 2.4L i-Vtec engine, though the body, I must say is a lil of a let down.
It has been fun knowing so many brothers and though many have changed rides, we remain as friends.
I have just secured my ride and luckily my price was locked in, irregardless, of the COE pricing this week. Whew
Well, I will not disappear from this 500 long thread setup by Siew. Will still visit and try to answer some of your queries based on my limilted knowledge.....
Have fun driving and khui khui khui ah!
PS: Do look for me if anyone of you are keen on getting some stuff (for a small token) specially for our Thai made Accord as I am dekitting now.

Re: CM <-> RB1
I am driving the cm 4 and my wife is driving rb1. I send to my dealer workshop and they mention that vibration is due to dirty throttle head and they will clean . As for steering noise they will change the fluid for the steering pump . Hope this will rectify as I am sending my car in on we'djunning wrote:Hi mayotedy,

Dirty throttle head? What did they do?
A simple carb cleaner should do the job with no cost. Did they sell u the v expensive TB cleaning system from 3 bond? If yes, most likely U are con into cleaning.
However, its good to clean the TB every 40K interval. Too much carbon stuck on th TB flap will cause poor response as flapper will be stuck at times.

Thanks for advice . Workshop is doing it free and never mention about costs as the car is under one year warranty from dealer

I jave just booked the Skoda Superb 2.0 TSI last week. It's the latest GTI engine on a extended wheelbase of passat. Lots of legroom behind.
Yes, I have jumped onto the euro wave as well.
Planning to order my 19" rims soon.

Wow...that's fast! The next owner is really lucky to have my ride....treated it with TLC and changed oil interval is between 7K - 9K max...plus ATF oil changed every 2 - 3 oil change interval only.

Re: CONGRATULATIONS!
Not yet....mine is 2.0 TSI btw.
Changed to KNN drop in and also ordered an api Type RS coilover, Nuespeed turbo discharge pipings and Whitline ARB from HAT. Next will be Alcon 4 pot extreme kit with 365mm disk
Still think about the Eurojet intercooler.....or S3...
