Please help diagnose my gear problem

Post by chock » Tue Nov 13, 2012 8:37 pm

Hi all,

Going into 1,3,5 gears feels alright. However, when trying to shift into 2,4,6 and R, the shifter feels squashy. Like the shifter is going to pop back to neutral.

I am using a spoon short shifter, but i am a feeling its the linkage.

Anyone had or having any similar issues?

cheers,

Chock

I done some search recently and read that CL7R 1,3,5 and 2,4,6,R use diff gear shift cable
Possible symptom of the cable 2,4,6,R is going to give way soon?
Anyhow count yourself lucky if the cable is the root of the problem

Previously i also had this problem with my another car
The synchronizer gave way
