CL7R Insurance

Post by BrianRaj » Sat Feb 25, 2012 11:05 pm

Hi bros, i've been driving an Impreza TS for almost a year.. Thinking of upgrading to a CL7R soon.. But the problem lies with the insurance.. Im only 22 this year, got my license about 1.5yrs ago.. So if its under my dad's name, 51 yr old with 30 yrs driving experience with 50%+5% NCD, roughly whats the cost of insurance gonna be like? Hope to hear some input from gurus here..  Thanks all.. :)

Maybe a 2007 CL7R insurance under yr dad could be around 1.8k, but taking into consideration that you would be one of the name driver, dun think the insurance company would take or secure you into the car. Mostly CL7R comes with only name drivers + 2 added parties and not all drivers so if accidentals were to be involved, all I can said is good luck.

My 2 cents worth.

If under your dad name, he has to forgo his current insurance, in order to enjoy the 50+5.

Anyway, any co-driver or named driver, if the age is <35, premium will be much higher.

Normally, name driver and 2 co driver.
Not "All driver" insurance.
