A few months ago, I paid slightly more than $800 (gst + labour) for a supposed original Honda alternator for my CL7A. I think you may be able to get something cheaper if they were refurbished or from other workshops. I got mine from my authorised PI workshop.

Recon your alternator for abt $280.

I just did mine just before CNY at AMK Point.

Hi all, may i ask how do you know your alternator is down? Because recently while I am driving, my speedo, radio and the rest of the electrical stuffs just shut off awhile and restart again. It happened especially when my air con condenser is on but when I drive without the air con, everything is all right. So can I assume this got to do with the alternator?

Yes, I can almost 100% confirmed it.
Because of this problem, I now have two set of alternator liao.
hehe..
Anyway, you can try Ah Heng. I think you should by now alot of honda bros did their alternator recon there. Price is about $350 if I am not wrong. Alternatively, you can try my spare Alternator. Have use 2month with no problem. Did it with Tan Lim at defu lane as well. But they dun do recon one. I got mine for 650. You can see my post above.
Cheers
