Sorry guys, know this is an old thread but I need to get some advice on rear mounted bike racks. Was looking at Saris Bones 2 or 3 (intention is to carry only one bike). Can anyone with first hand experience confirm that this system can really be used on our XRD? I was chatting with the salesperson ...

I have been averaging 8-ish km/l numbers with stock rims and tyres. But I do around 80% city driving. Thought a Japanese car would have better fuel consumption than my previous 2 French rides, but I have been getting more or less the same numbers. I notice that my gear change is a bit sluggish thoug...

I went to Yihing Auto to install my skid plates and side steps. If I recall correctly, it was $160 for the former. However, some bros here commented that this was way too expensive for something relatively simple. No complaints from me though coz i think he did a great job as he already had prior ex...

It depends on what sidesteps, fog lights and roof racks you want. Sidesteps - If you want the Honda originals, order from Thian Seng (be prepared to wait at least 3 to 4 weeks) and then go to a workshop to fix them up. Alternatively, you can search the previous threads for aftermarket ones (which in...

My personal view is to stick with the agent workshop until the end of the warranty period. Then, you will not be giving your PI an opportunity to come up with lame excuses not to cover you. But this is ultimately down to risk appetite. If you have sufficient faith in your ride that nothing major wil...

Rubber lining along length of car roof

hi guys, not really sure if this is really an issue or that I am just overly anal but here goes:- Recently discovered that the rubber lining along the length of my car roof appears to have been popped up (i.e. doesn't flush nicely with the car body). It's not like the whole thing was pulled out/up b...

CS 2 made enquiry thru 1 of bro recommendation.. indeed price is better :D Glad you saved on some $$$ on the CS-II. For boot tray, you can call Thian Seng direct for the original one. Costs about $120 or so if I don't remember wrongly. Quite steep for a piece of rubber, but it fits perfectly and lo...

Re: My Roadtrip Journal 09

Thanks Bro! Will find time down to take a look! BTW, Do they do installation for the spot lights as well? If so, What are they charging? I actually had 2 spotlights done up at the bumper area already. So I am thinking whether to go back and install or do it at the shop that I purchase. Also, do you...

if the ride is really going to be under-utilised, now is a good time to find a buyer. Given the high COE prices, you should be able to get a decent price which will pay off most, if not all, of your loan without being out-of-pocket. monthly instalments, petrol and maintenance charges will add quite ...
