Engine check light
Engine check light
My 9 year old ES today showed me the engine check light. Any bro can advise the possible causes and an estimated cost fix?

Engine got problem. Something failed. Accurate diagnosis possible with OBD2 reader which good workshops will have, and some bros here also have. Best to go your favourite workshop to ask.
In the meantime, do not rev your car past 4,000 rpm and do not drive in a hurried and impatient manner. your gear may not shift, and ending may just die anytime.
best to go workshop asap.
good luck bro
Oh yeah... possible causes... there are about 500 things that can go wrong ranging from spark plug not firing to ECU failure. without OBD2 readout and diagnosis tool, your guess might be better than mine

Freedom isn't Free, it costs people like you and me... Freedom costs a buck 'o five....
Thanks bro. As usual your reply is the most comprehensive and helpful. Glad to see that you're still active all these years!
Btw do you have any recommended workshop? Can pm me?
Thanks!
Btw, just as sudden the light appeared yesterday, I was driving at 80km/hr and the check light disappeared. :/
But I think I'll bring it for a check in case..
