Car leasing

hi guys
am currently considering the option of leasing a car for probably a year or so

is there anything i should look out for?
typically for car lease, does the owner cover the maintenance and repair?
how about road tax & insurance?

typically it comes up to about $1300 for entry level car..are there any cheaper alternatives?
