New Tyres for S2000

Post by Chase! » Tue Aug 06, 2013 12:14 pm

Want to get opinions from fellow S2000 drivers.

Been running this set of tyres for more than two years. Fantastic performance both in wet and dry roads. Now up for change. What is a good replacement set of comparable performance?

Hankook RS3. Awesome on road and on track. On my 2nd set now.

Thou I am game to try the AD08R or RE11A, provided we can get 255/40/17 which as usual is always not available

What tyres are you running now? That'll help us recommend a tyre of comparable performance

Hi Tim,
I think heis running on RE11 now. I would say he should try the new BF Goodrich Rival, as 2 of LMS trackies did a 2.36 on the FD2R & DC5R. Both are still on K20's. Don't forget that they are from RS3.

Cheers

Hey Dave, that sounds promising! How much faster were they with the BFG Rival compared with the RS3?

OEMs are RE050A. Cheap, good and suitable for safe responsible motoring. Lao Liao, must take it easy. 8)

I'm on Bridgestone RE11s now. Love it and actually ordered another set but I have been waiting for months and they are not here! So thinking of alternatives.

So far, Michelin PSS sounds quite good. Anybody has experience with PSS?

Wah, how you know I am on RE11? Super smart!

BF Goodrich Rival? I haven't come across these tyres. Thanks for the recommendation. I will do some research!

I know you are lao liao because you dunno what a high cap diff is for. For people like us moseying about quietly in traffic and wait for our signal lamps to blink 3 times before switching lanes..... no need for power differential nor fierce tires!

ps. i'm moving to pss. Have not heard reviews from people who've used them both though.
