Just got my freed , omv was $21K+ , the ride is excellent ... well worth the wait ... my only complant is that it does not have enough compartments for storage

btw, if anyone can provide following info :

- link to the enlish version manual for download

- accessories shop that sells FREED stuff , e.g. body kit,

- how to us the repair kt found under the driver seat

Perhaps we should organize a meetup @ kallang for all Freed owners

- Manual not available in English yet, guess have to wait til export model is ready (probably mid this year, when KM carry their own Freed)

- Most of the forumer visit this vendor for original accessories for various Honda model:
Thian Seng, Blk 261, Waterloo Street, #01-22 Singapore 180261, Tel : 6337-1795

- This video clip shows how to use the repair kit (about 2 mintues 44 seconds into the video, to be exact)

skyroof is only available in the 5 seater version, not the 7/8 seaters.

don't think anyone in SG wants the 5 seater freed.

For those that I eagerly waiting for KM to launch their Freed with 5 speed auto, the wait is almost over. Just saw a Grey colour unit at one of their storage / holding area. Guess KM is preparing it for display for pre-booking in early March, so that the car can be delivered by end May.

Anyone have any other updates pertaining to Freed? ;)

Did you know?

1) i forgot to close the petrol cover and the sliding door refused to open!; safety from hitting the petrol pump!

2) the variable speed wiper actually increases speed when u drive off and slows down when u stop?

wow......

Look like we are not the first export market for Freed... It will be first available in Indonesia from June, according to the press release from Honda Japan.

Honda to Begin Production, Sales and Export of Freed Model in Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia, March 11, 2009 - P.T. Honda Prospect Motor, Honda's automobile manufacturing and sales joint venture in Indonesia, announced plans to produce and sell the Freed model in Indonesia, starting June 2009. In addition, exports to multiple countries in the Southeast Asia region are scheduled to begin before the end of this year. Indonesia will be the first country in regions outside Japan where the Freed will be produced and sold.

For full details, check out the link: http://world.honda.com/news/2009/409031 ... Indonesia/

So now the million dollar question: Will KM's Freed be from Japan or Indonesia?? We manage to get the previous generation Stream from Japan even though those on sales in other part of ASEAN, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, etc. get theirs from Indonesia... ...

Here's your million dollar answer, jus heard from a reliable source that a group of Kah motor technicians are undergoing training in Indonesia to understand Freed. Word is the Freed will be from INDONESIA. Anyway since even the door panel of Japan version can be soo plasticky and the radio aerial from the 90's, how much worse can an Indo version be?? :?:
Every bend is a challenge.

Bro, why do you need a rear view mirror?
Cos' it will be expensive if the mirror is ordered from Japan.

Does your car have any reverse camera?
Are you using a DVD player?

it will be better if you install a DVD player + Reverse Camera,
your car will look nicer too
