Air-con and Radiator fans

Post by frenzs » Mon Oct 20, 2014 4:38 pm

Today I went for servicing at Autosaver and learnt this.

Please check both your air-con and especially Radiator fans are working. It would seems only my aircon fan is working for some time while the radiator was not. The technician gave a light knock then the radiator fans starts up. Is not broken, just wear and a little 'stuck' (maybe contacts dirty but he says is not). After that it seems working again. But he says if change would cost S$160 for just the motor replacement. Need to monitor.

PS: Aircon fan is the passenger side and is larger one.

FYI.

If you dont mind cut n join method (2wire), u can get cheaper same quality motor for less than 50.
Just make sure the joints are soldered n use heat shrink sleeve to protect. Ours is denso motor.
