anyone interested to tag along maybe on 18 April (weekday)?
also, i can hear a fair bit of sound generating from the front wheel,
suspecting is drive shaft or wheel bearing, any idea?

the mech didnt reveal the exact spec, only says is stage one close ratio.ah_rek wrote:what spec of your gearbox you change ?
if it happens after you change your gb, and it gets louder when you accelerate, then it's cfm your gb liao.
no, i think it happens after i drove my left wheel into a CB pot hole inside a CP.

your mech actually tell u is close ratio gearbox ?
pls share the workshop name so all bro here can avoid.
You know you're so JDM when your black underwear have red stitchings.
I warned u, do ur homework before changing anything stupid which leads to double the price to get what u actually need. Either buy genuine parts or know what u are getting. In this case u learned the hard way like all of us.
There is no stage 1 close ratio, no close ratio @2.5k rpm cause It serves no purpose!
*ps pls publish the workshop who recommend the stage 1 close ratio, guess the future newbie can also avoid.
slow is gold.
You guys know la, I'm new on this GB thing so what should be the correct rpm?
Also, at this 2500@100, what does it tells? Not even close ratio?
But the setup is good enough for street use, better then before n the FC is not affected.

im puzzled, a stock EK3 gb at 100kmh, rpm at 5th gear will be 2.8k, given that ive driven it before.yeobt wrote:You guys know la, I'm new on this GB thing so what should be the correct rpm?

2.5k rpm cruising is much lower than stock already so where's the close ratio in that? perhaps you should check out the history of your box and its gears, cos it really seems that your build is taking a step backwards.
anyway, if you can feel the difference and more enjoyable, who's to criticize? just that the figures dont add up.
to give you a better gauge on close ratio, im on an EK9 gearbox, 4.4FD. this already gives me 3.4k rpm @ 100kmh. and its stock!
"hi bro, your items can cheaper bro??"
Maybe his RPM gauge is inaccurate. Yeobt what was your rpm at 100km/h before u change the GB?flava wrote:im puzzled, a stock EK3 gb at 100kmh, rpm at 5th gear will be 2.8k, given that ive driven it before.yeobt wrote:You guys know la, I'm new on this GB thing so what should be the correct rpm?

I'm on my way home, will try to push my civic @100 to see the effect.
