HEYO!! would appreciate help with some burning questions

Post by alphabet » Mon Nov 24, 2008 1:04 am

Heya everyone,

I'm seriously considering buying a integra DC 5 (jan 2005 model) but need to find out whether:

1) the k20A engine uses a timing belt or chain? (my dad refuses to subsidise a car which uses a timing belt..)

2) do mechanics charge a premium for maintenance coz it's a sports coupe

3) are spare parts readily available at affordable prices?

Hope you all can help me out with these issues..thanks in advance! :)

chain i think...DC5 is a coupe but i dont think mechs charge more tho.

DC5 is a jap car...parts are readily available...dun mind me, i think for ya dad not to subsidise cos its is using a timing belt is quite weird. Belts can last easily 80k km to 100k km FYI.
