ii) Hotbits : Straight through muffler ($140 with install, non LTA approved)
iii) Operated : Stock exhuast ($180++, non LTA approved)

Official Supplier of Supersprint Exhaust that is the ONLY legal aftermarket louder and nice looking pipe is Jeep Chee. Unfotunately, a bro went there March 2011 to discover that they NO LONGER BRING IT IN on account that the ES is no longer the current model, and those who wanted the legal pipe already bot it... never account the used car market people may want to buy the ONLY legal pipe for the ES... anyways - they should still do official transfer so look out for it in the Want To Sell (WTS) folder as other ES owners dekit. Just make sure they did not operate the SS pipe and have the cert when you buy over. If need to swop - do consider it only after LTA chop on the paper the SS pipe is legal... else you stuck with no original pipe when inspection comes... can be very difficult.

Other people who can service EXHAUST include Fong Kim and Mann's Exhaust (sort of a Shaolin-Wu Dang relationship haha)

FK is at Ubi Road 1,

Mann Exhaust is at 11 Sin Ming Industrial Estate Sector B, #01-77, Singapore 575655.

Here's the email contact for those interested:
[email protected]

Here's an extract of the email:

"the pro kit lowers the car 30mm all around. the springs are about 20-25% firmer so you retain very good comfort level with improved sport handling.

as long as your current absorbers are in good condition, eibach pro kit is made and tested by TUV to match the original absorbers so it does not adversely affect the life span of it.

unfortunatelywe do not stock this kit. a 50% deposit is required for confirmed order. delivery is expected in 3-4 weeks upon confirmation.

hope this helps. please let us know if we can be of further assistance."

Front Lower Ball Joint Replacement
contributed by bro Hysteria4u

Follow this link to see the part, and price in USD. can order also.

Has anyone replaced the lower ball joint (on the front knuckle) with this part? I understand that if using original part, need to replace the entire knuckle. I came across this after-market part from Moog, Part No: K90332. Installed, and found to be of good quality and more affordable replacement.

Is this your regular workshop? If yes, it's probably a fair price...

If this is a 'drop in' workshop, just beware...

I recently 'drop in' to change my headlight bulbs... HB4...

they say my existing bulb is 9006 when they open up to see... cannot use HB4... and 9006 is more expensive...

WTF?????

i told lady boss that can use HB4 as I change from HB4 to 9006 last time... she say better use back 9006... blah blah...

OK... so how much...

Oh... 9006 is special bulb... $18 a piece... (WTF X5...)

erm... my bulbs not blown yet - just wanna change back halogen ones to see better especially in malaysian roads... I think it can wait...

erm... I bot these on Syed Alwi Road... on sale... $5 per bulb i.e. $10 for the pair...

go to another shop down the lane... this one better... wa... L shape connector!! special one... this will cost $28 per bulb to change...

yah... halogen (yellowish) bulb HB4 Stanley or Sylvanna brand is $12 per bulb la ah chek...

so I say thank you... and get out of there man... cut throat alley...

yeah... so is this your regular workshop? then they may not 'cut your throat'

do some homework la... go Tanly to ask Lawrence those parts how much lor... no harm giving your ws some markup to "tan jiak"

but dun let them "tai lang bang hueh".....

Hi hi,

can someone direct me to get the ROAR engine oil? I like to try it but I like to know how is it good, compared to say Mobil1 Gold?

Is it more protection for the engine? Easier to rev? Do let me know, especially bros who have tried this before. Thanks a million!

Installed, and found to be of good quality and more affordable replacement.

can someone direct me to get the ROAR engine oil? I like to try it but I like to know how is it good, compared to say Mobil1 Gold?

Is it more protection for the engine? Easier to rev? Do let me know, especially bros who have tried this before. Thanks a million!
Mixed reaction.

I used it for one round... won't last till 10,000 km... 7k feels rough leow... but in use, it felt ok... just not awesome... these days I just go for oils that have the CERTIFIED seal on it that says it's certified to the standards required for fully synthetic oils... watch for it... not all 'branded' oils are so certified :)... one such certified oil is Elf Excelleum... go look for it... round shaped seal... then you go look for this seal in other brands... not all have... I shall not spoil market and name the brands NOT having such a seal... they are very reputable branded names... but not certified :)

Yeah. It's been about 5 years already. I am still on ES. With some TLC, this is one great ride, and has served my family's and my needs faithfully.

Guess most ES bros have moved on to other rides? Quite difficult to find something similar with a classic interior like the ES these days.
