How much petrol can be squeezed into ES5 tank?

Post by joelwong » Fri Apr 06, 2012 10:48 am

How much petrol can be squeezed into ES5 after the first click?

After the first click, if i continue squeezing, after 1 or 2 litre, can start to see the tank like a bit overflowing. after a while, the level drops, then can continue to pump. It seems that i can go on pumping forever, machiam like got some overflow valve that let excess petrol flow out. So i usually stop at about 4 litres after the first click.

Anybody tried filling to the very brim?

So after first click stop, how much did you manage to squeeze?

For me quite scary, cuz I seem to be able to keep squeezing. It will flow out, after a while, the level will keep going down.

After first click, almost 3ltrs, use card pay, they blur blur on the 95ron noozle, the guy hurrying me, until over flow onto the ground, so wasted. Ever pump 7ltrs more, but takes 15 mins, car park on slope.

That is because fuel that comes out from the nozzle is full of bubbles. Once the bubbles escape, more space left.

jack up your car on the fuel inlet side to as high as possible... 60 degrees preferable but you will need special jack to do that.

then you can fill up to 70 litres of petrol into your car.

ahhh... you must be a newbie young driver... never seen the action in JB when woodlands was still on the old checkpoint complex using Jalan Wong Ah Fook...

That Caltex station cater 99% Singapore registered cars... one of their pump got a one side ramp to allow your car to tilt to that kind of angle for your conveience... and they got part time boys help your to bounce your car to shake off the air bubbles in your fuel tank for a ringgit or two depend on your mood..

damn solid...

Do check the floor around your car after you pump in 70Litres...

the ES has a petrol escape outlet to prevent overfilling... and for safety.

At the opening, a plastic attachment, there's a tiny hole at the base.

Essentially, the ES 5 has a 50litre capacity gasoline tank and has made some additional space for air to breathe and expand as a safety feature.

you want to pump to the brim it should be around 50 plus a bit - that is the maximum safe volume your tank can hold.

why are you trying to put in that extra few litres? just so you can save a bit more?

just come back and top up again when that 50 is used up lor...

si beh ti ki... ask funny question ... and saving that $5 ? at the risk of your car BLOWING UP due to overfill and overflowing fuel tank meeting Mr spark...

of course can ask for fun la... so we also give you for fun answer and describe what we see KIA SU singaporean do at JB... everybody laugh until stomach ache... stoopid sinkapolearn... damn ku ku cartoon type... yes they got money - buy big car lar stoopid... fuel tank 130 liter capacity fill until you shiok... a few litre so huan noh to squeeze in... boh lui mai hua chia...
