most common comments i have is.. - the amount you pay...

1) you can buy a brand new Scirocco
2) a bit more you can get a porsche boxster (renewed COE)
3) can get a basic turbo car and suup it up!

kinda difficult to explain to them the difference..

oh by the way... i would like to attend a meet up. :)

Back in 2008-2009, a brand new s2k would depreciate ard 10-12k, but not really in current market. It's higher now due to COE premiums.

Kopi session~FFD our bro looks to have made up his mind, he will be joining in this community soon it seems. LoL~~

Rocco....nice car but not as fun. FF = never as fun.

Boxster....waste of time & money. Badge is bling though.

Base turbocharged cars? Different category. And still not as fun and fulfilling.

U r right. Thats the prob. A lot of people carry the mentality that there is "the best" without realising what they r going to be very happy with and what they really want. Honest fact is, if one really invest $$, the s2k is animal. Without budget constraint, any car can be fast. Lol. But, whats the point? Different views of value.
yup tats so true and in a lot of pple's mind, the best is the one that can sprint the fastest to the next traffic light or the one that can attract the most attention... muahahaha.

comparing a turbo car w a na car??!! 4wd vs rwd?? totally different driving experience and feel.

i guess the different views also depends on where one is in their stage of life and/or which cycle of car playing they r at.

Hi guys,

Just to bring up this topic for potential owners.
Instead of creating a new thread.

Any idea what is the expected depreciation in the current market for a 07/08 ap2 (Type S or No S)

isit still around 12k per year?

:D
