Help: drop in fuel economy in the past six months

Post by petetherock » Sun Jan 26, 2014 7:58 am

Hi bros
I have a 1.8l auto FD six years old.
No isssues with the car and still loving my ride.
I used to average 450-480 km per tank in urban driving, but now I struggle to make 400-420km :(
Any ideas or tips to check what's wrong?
I sent it to Leng Kee Honda, and they didn't find anything wrong...

Thanks in advance

I have exactly the same problem.
1.8 Civic which is 7 years old.
Now im struggling with 370km/ full tank.

Word of advice.
Clear the carbon off your Engine cylinder.
That will help a lot.

Plus use fuel additives.
That will improve also around 50-60km more.
Race without fear
Fight without losing
Destroy all that is in the way

Thanks bro
I also fixed my aircon, and that also helped...
It's not as good now as new, but I am getting back to about 420 - 440km per tank in mixed conditions of driving.
I also did a run to KL, and cleared out some soot by revving to 4-5000 rpm..
