ODC Heat Up

Post by JRotten » Mon Oct 27, 2014 3:05 pm

Hi, this morning my ODC temp heated up suddenly and I drove to mechanic and they checked and informed me that my engine casket leaked and water had gone in to engine.
This can be verified when they open the radiator tank and there are presence of milky substance.

Mechanic advise to either overhaul the engine or change car..

Anyone had such kind of problem before?

Barring a prolonged overheating situation, a head gasket change would do the job to restore the engine back to working condition.

If it really overheats, you would not be able to drive at all.

worst case: order a engine in to replace.

Yes. It is a sign of prolong engine gasket leaking left unnoticed.

Changing gasket will only solve the leaking issue.

A top overhaul is required to inspect the cylinder head and to clear out the water effectively.
