step 1: find out what is already in the car. (research and compare... google is your friend)

step 2: get the car in proper perfect working condition

step 3: ask yourself why you would want to mod the car, and what you will be using it for. then check out this page for starters: http://www.shc-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=66191

honestly, most people get stuck on step 2. bwahahahahah...

Finding out what's already in the car... Google may not be your friend.... the EK you got is 99% confirm no longer "bone stock"

Go to a reputable EK workshop - there are many famous ones but you must know the boss of the workshop else may not get all the 'truth" and nothing but the truth... :)

spend some money to open up the engine to replace the wear and tear stuff - gaskets, rubber seals and take a good look inside (maybe even go for a 'top overhaul' to see condition of the pistons and rings and cams and gears etc.) Yes it's money... but will give you peace of mind, and all seals renewed, and worn parts replaced... and you can be sure the B engine... if you buy it used... must go tru this sooner more than later.

If there is a piggyback, or worse, piggy removed... you better consult what needs to be done to 'normalise' the electronics properly so your car runs properly... else many many things can go wrong... if piggy, go for a re-tune to your driving style.

we settled the GO FAST FASTER part..... now the stopping part...
wheels, tyres, brakes, brake hoses, brake fluids, brake pads... notice brake and brake pad are 2 items - because they are. Most people say this should be first item... OK up to you which to do first. I'd say do both if pockets can take it... by this time you are looking at up to $5k for the above two categories. Can do for 'cheaper' -- tell your workshop your budget limit so they can work within your budget. Go for SAFETY FIRST.

mORE? PM me or arrange a meetup... the list is endless and I am a newbie with the B series hahaha... hey seniors -- i just share hor... no upstaging anything because I KNOW i am a nobody with no fast car mod... just share my skin and hair depth knowledge here... with another newbie
